Job summary

Leidos in the United States is seeking a Mid to Senior Substation Physical Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will work on substation design projects for electric utilities, from 12kV to 500kV, applying expertise in digital logic, AC/DC circuits, and protective schemes.

You’ll join a collaborative, hybrid work environment with 3 days in offices and 2–3 days remote or on-site as needed, with opportunities for mentoring, training, and growth across South regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of related substation physical design experience for mid level.
• Senior/Lead level requires 6+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical design projects from concept to final drawings.
• Read and design one-line, three-line, plan-section, and grounding drawings.
• Create and review bill of materials for substation physical projects.
• Attend site visits to collect data and verify field conditions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
