Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Physical Engineer to work on projects for electric utilities, covering voltages from 12kV to 500kV. You will design substation physical schemes, evaluate grounding, and contribute to drawings and BOMs while interfacing with clients.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in person at offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, or Orlando, plus remote work on other days, and opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• PE license or EI certification preferred.
• Experience with substation physical design and drawings beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical projects and designs for utility clients.
• Read and design one-line, three-line, plan-section drawings and grounding drawings.
• Prepare and check bill of materials for substation projects.
• Attend site visits and coordinate with clients to meet project needs.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
