Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, seeks an experienced design-build/EPC Project Manager with substantial substation experience to lead complex projects in the U.S. You will develop definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives, while ensuring profitability and timely client billings.

Responsibilities include risk monitoring, change management, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and field teams. Mentorship of junior PMs and regular status reporting are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 13+ years of relevant construction/project management experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification required within 12 months of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Create project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives.
• Prepare detailed statements of work and work breakdown structures with budgets.
• Manage project costs and profitability; review and approve invoices and subcontracts.
• Communicate deadlines and assignments to the project team; facilitate internal/external meetings.
• Prepare overall project schedule and site construction budgets by group; monitor progress.
• Coordinate with engineering for code reviews; manage submittals to agencies.
• Mentor less experienced Project Managers and coordinate with Construction Manager on bid/tender processes.
• Prepare monthly reports, bid packages, addendums, and contract modifications.
