Job summary

Quanta Services’ QISG unit seeks an Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead engineering, design, and construction coordination through full project lifecycles. You’ll ensure deliverables are complete, compliant, and aligned with schedules and budgets, reporting to the Engineering Director.

You will collaborate across engineering, construction, and client teams, driving technical excellence, risk mitigation, and safe, reliable outcomes for substations and grid modernization projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electric utility engineering or management roles.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; professional licensure preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and projects on time and budget.
• Strong knowledge of utility industry processes, controls, and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, design, procurement, and construction coordination across substation projects.
• Act as technical lead during conceptual through closeout phases; ensure constructibility.
• Define scope, deliverables, and technical requirements for projects.
• Manage engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design and constructability reviews; mitigate project risks early.
• Ensure compliant documentation, standards, and training for the team.
• Support client interactions, proposals, and project planning activities.
• Drive innovation, safety, quality, and efficiency in processes.
