Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks a seasoned Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead technical teams through the full project lifecycle from proposal to closeout. You will coordinate engineering, construction, and client interactions to deliver safe, reliable substation infrastructure.

The role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, strong leadership, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering duties or management for high voltage projects.
• PE license is preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering work across conceptual, preliminary, detailed design, construction, and closeout phases.
• Define project scope, deliverables, assumptions, and technical requirements.
• Oversee performance of engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design reviews and risk mitigation discussions; ensure constructability and compliance with standards.
