Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions (QISG) seeks an experienced Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead technical oversight and project coordination across the full lifecycle of substation projects. You will ensure design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout meet standards, budgets, and schedules.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will liaise among engineering, construction, and clients, driving risk mitigation, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• P.E. license is preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of high voltage electrical projects and utility standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering work across the project lifecycle from scope to closeout.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and client teams to drive collaboration.
• Define engineering scope, deliverables, and technical requirements for projects.
• Manage performance of engineering partners and review KPIs with leadership.
• Conduct design reviews, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Ensure documentation and standards are followed per codes and company procedures.
• Develop training strategies to elevate team capability and performance.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes and practices.
• Foster safety, quality, and integrity within the engineering department.
