Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC seeks an Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead technical oversight across the full project lifecycle—from proposal through closeout—for high- voltage substations. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning efforts, ensuring deliverables are constructible, compliant, and aligned with schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• ABET-accredited BS/MS in Engineering.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead across conceptual, preliminary engineering, detailed design, construction and closeout phases.
• Define engineering scope, deliverables, and technical requirements for each project.
• Manage performance of engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and client requirements.
• Develop and implement training to elevate team capabilities.
• Collaborate with Quanta Engineering and Construction Operating Units to drive work.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes and methodologies.
• Promote safety, quality, and integrity within the engineering department.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovations into projects.
