Qualus is seeking a Substation Physical Engineering Manager to lead and grow a dedicated engineering team while shaping technical strategy across substations. The role reports to the Engineering Director and involves oversight of engineers, project planning, and strong client engagement.

The position emphasizes leadership, technical depth in substation engineering, and collaboration with business development to maintain a healthy backlog and pipeline across locations in Florida and other states.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Master’s degree in Engineering Management or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector.
• Experience in Utility Substation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide engineering leadership and supervision across projects.
• Give technical oversight to ensure proper engineering processes are followed.
• Develop trusted relationships with senior level engineering, managers, and executives.
• Coordinate work with engineering offices where shared resources reside.
• Attend project kickoff meetings and discuss scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Review employee time sheets and expenses for accuracy.
• Support quotes/estimating with engineering input and client management.
