Qualus Corporation in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Substation Physical Engineering Manager to lead and grow an engineering team, shaping technical strategy and a culture of excellence.

You will oversee engineers, coordinate with offices, and partner with Business Development to maintain pipeline, with emphasis on safety, QA/QC, and project cost control. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years in management in energy, and PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) from ABET-accredited school; Master’s Degree in Engineering Management or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector.
• Experience in Utility Substation engineering; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, and manage engineering staff; set expectations and review performance.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure proper engineering processes on projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior engineering leaders and clients.
• Coordinate work across multiple engineering offices and cross-train staff.
• Collaborate with Business Development to maintain a robust backlog and pipeline.
• Present technical solutions to customers and respond to questions in real time.
• Plan and forecast engineering requirements, including training schedules.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to gather and deliver design data.

Education
