Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead electric utility scale substation, transmission, and distribution projects. You will ensure constructability aligns with client requirements, safety standards, schedules and budgets, while coordinating with contractors on site and interfacing with client representatives.

In this role you will oversee field crews, validate documentation, manage outages, and drive compliance with project specs and regulations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in materials, construction standards, regulations (OSHA), and safety for electric transmission line and substation construction.
• Thorough knowledge of company safety practices and environmental requirements.
• Proficiency with PC and job/work management applications including AS8, Atlas, Mobile Maps & MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively manages day-to-day activities of multiple electric contractor crews for substation and transmission line work.
• Facilitates installation of electric infrastructure and ensures safety standards and regulations are met.
• Manages costs and cycle times to meet performance objectives on projects.
• Oversees and directs contractors performing electric cable installations and cut-ins.
• Coordinates with federal, state and local agencies before, during, and after construction as required.
• Communicates job status to stakeholders to support scheduling commitments.
