Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineering Substation Intern for our Hallowell, ME office as part of the Summer Internship Program. This 12-week internship begins May 17, 2027, offering hands-on exposure to power delivery projects and mentorship from senior staff.

The intern will assist in field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation, while developing technical, social, and ethical skills.

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program.
Anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.
Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering and desire to advance skills.
Competent interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences.

Responsibilities

Develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation; complete training on assigned tasks.
Follow WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
