Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Intern to join the Grid team. You will assist senior engineers on design tasks for transmission, substation, and renewable projects, including calculations, specifications, and project reporting.

You will contribute to power system design efforts and gain experience with procurement specs while working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Summer 2027 start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in BS/MS with strong engineering background.
• Coursework includes coding, 3D modeling/design, and AI-related concepts.
• ABET accreditation preferred; GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Support project reporting: tracking progress and data analysis.
• Prepare specifications for procurement of major electrical equipment and related services.
