Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites a Substation Engineer Intern to join the Grid business unit for a summer start. You will assist senior engineers with design tasks for transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and energy storage projects, gaining practical experience across power system engineering.

Under supervision, you will perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications, track project progress, and help prepare procurement specifications for major electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in BS or MS in an engineering field with coursework including coding, 3D modeling/design, and AI experience.
• Strong ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track and evaluate project activities and progress.
• Assist in power designs and procurement specifications for major electrical equipment.
