Dashiell Corporation, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Substation Engineer for its Portland, ME office. You will design substations from 34.5kV to 500kV, produce wiring diagrams, BOMs, and as‑built markups, and support protection and control tasks under supervision.

The role requires hands‑on electrical engineering design experience, NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI knowledge, and potential for varied seniority levels. Travel is required as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in substation engineering design; senior roles require 7+ years of hands-on design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to become licensed within one year.

Responsabilidades

• Create design documents and drawings, including wiring diagrams and BOMs.
• Perform relay burden, lighting, load flow, and short circuit calculations.
• Apply software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and studies.
• Review schedules with project engineer to keep work on track.
• Adhere to NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI and corporate standards.
• Travel to job sites as required and supervise project activities.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members effectively.
