Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join a project team and support engineering and design duties under supervision. The role offers hands-on learning in substation design, wiring diagrams, and field mark-ups, with exposure to NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.

You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a power focus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Power focus preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials for substation projects under senior engineer supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations and studies: relay burden, load flow, short circuit, ground grid design, relay coordination, and transformer sizing.
• Apply industry standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI) and gain hands-on experience at job sites.
• Deliver accurate work on schedule and travel to project sites as needed.
