Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, a unit of Quanta Services, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to support substation projects through design document creation, wiring diagrams, and BOM preparation under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience, learn industry standards, and apply software tools for grid design and relay coordination at both office and site locations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Power field internship or related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team to create design documents, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and markups under supervision.
• Perform engineering support tasks including relay burden, lighting, load flow, and short circuit calculations under direct supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and power studies under supervision.
• Complete tasks to meet project schedule requirements and learn engineering standards.
