Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to join a project team and perform engineering and design duties under close supervision. Responsibilities include creating wiring diagrams, BOMs, and design documents for substations, and applying standards such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical AC/DC fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of three phase power systems.
• Demonstrated leadership and team work.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with common word processing, spreadsheets, and email software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating design documents, wiring diagrams, and BOMs under supervision.
• Support engineering tasks: relay burden, load flow, short circuit calculations.
• Learn and apply engineering software for ground grid design, transformer sizing, and studies.
• Adhere to NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Spends time at job sites for hands‑on substation experience.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of work; raise issues with project leads.
