Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support design and engineering tasks within a project team. Under direct supervision, you will learn to create design documents, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials for substation projects, applying NEC, NESC, and IEEE standards.

You will gain hands-on experience at job sites, perform basic calculations, and learn engineering software while developing knowledge of three-phase power systems and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with power focus preferred.
• Active pursuit of degree required; power focus preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical AC/DC concepts and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Create design documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations like relay burden, load flow, and short-circuit studies under supervision.
• Learn and apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Assist with site visits to gain hands-on project knowledge.
• Support project teams to meet engineering and design schedules.
