Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support design and engineering tasks within a project team. Under direct supervision you will help create wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and field mark-ups for substation projects, gaining hands-on experience.

You will learn NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI standards, apply engineering software, and spend time at job sites to gain practical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is preferred.
• Prior internship and related work experience in power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create wiring diagrams from schematics and generate bills of materials under direct supervision.
• Apply engineering software to support ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and load flow studies under supervision.
• Support tasks to meet project schedule requirements and learn engineering standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI).
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge in substation construction and design.
