Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Control Technician I to support installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring within electrical substations. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on learning under supervision.

You will develop foundational skills in cable installation, terminations, reading prints, and working with senior technicians across North America. EPS offers competitive pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a clear path for growth in a safety‑focused

Qualifications

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive role.
  • Criminal background check required.
  • Willing to overtime and travel.
  • Able to lift 70 lbs and climb ladders.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies and wear PPE in substation environments.
  • Participate in safety trainings and daily job briefings.
  • Assist with receiving, staging, and verifying materials.
  • Support cable pulling and routing under supervision.
  • Learn wiring diagrams and schematics to complete tasks.
  • Work with senior technicians to learn procedures.
  • Maintain tools and clean work areas daily.
  • Keep work areas clear of hazards and obstructions.
