Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Control Technician I to assist in installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring systems within electrical substations. You will develop foundational skills in cable installation, terminations, and print reading under direct supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality standards.

The role offers hands-on learning, exposure to various test equipment, and opportunities to grow with experienced engineers and technicians in North America.

Qualifications

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position.
  • Criminal background check required and satisfactory.
  • Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
  • Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift 70 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
  • Assist with installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring systems.
  • Support cable pulling, labeling, and routing under supervision.
  • Learn wiring diagrams, schematics, and terminations under guidance of senior staff.
  • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, organized condition.
