Job summary

Electric Power Systems is hiring a Control Technician I to assist with installation, inspection, and maintenance of control wiring systems within electrical substations across North America.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check clearance.
• Ability to travel and work overtime/out-of-town.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, lift 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE in substation environments.
• Receive, stage, and verify materials against material lists.
• Assist with cable pulling and routing under supervision.
• Apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions.
• Assist with testing activities, including megger preparation.
• Learn procedures from senior technicians and engineers.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, organized condition.
