Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Drafter – Substation to support design efforts across substations. The role focuses on routine CAD-based tasks, adherence to CAD standards, and collaboration with a Lead Designer on substation projects.

The position requires knowledge of AutoCAD and various CAD programs, with opportunities to grow through professional development and exposure to utility, renewable energy, and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with a background in substation design preferred.
• No experience required for entry level; more experienced CAD/design can lead to higher pay band.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize CAD design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
• Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work.
• Research information in catalogs, specifications, corporate standards, or other reference material.
• Learn and properly use the document management system and suggest improvements.
• Bring potential project-related problems and possible solutions to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
