Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in the United States seeks a Drafter – Substation to perform routine substation design tasks using CAD and AutoCAD. This role supports engineering projects under a Lead Designer with emphasis on CAD standards and accurate drafting.

The position reports to the Design Lead in Engineering and welcomes entry-level applicants. Training, professional development, and a collaborative culture are offered to grow technical skills in high-voltage substations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with a substation design background preferred.
• Basic CAD knowledge and willingness to learn and apply standards.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize CAD design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high workmanship standards.
• Take responsibility for quality and accuracy of work.
• Research information from catalogs, specifications and standards.
• Learn and use document management system and suggest improvements.
• Flag project issues and propose solutions to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
