Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks a Drafter – Substation to support design efforts for electrical substations. The role requires basic CAD skills and understanding of substation components, with opportunities across the engineering platform.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in drafting with substation design is preferred.
• No experience required for entry level in electric utility industry.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Extensive CAD knowledge; AutoCAD preferred.
• Basic knowledge of substation components and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize CAD design software for substation design.
• Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure workmanship standards.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of own work.
• Research information in catalogs, specifications, standards, or reference materials.
• Learn and use document management system; suggest improvements.
• Propose solutions to project-related problems to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
