Job summary

The Drafter - Substation role at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) supports substation design across our projects, applying CAD techniques and AutoCAD standards to produce accurate drawings. You will report to the Design Lead within the Engineering department and contribute to project delivery from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting & Design or equivalent certification.
• Experience in drafting disciplines with a background in substation design is preferred.
• Working in a team environment and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work on design aspects from project inception to completion on various substation projects.
• Utilize CAD design software for substation design.
• Demonstrate knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high workmanship standards.
• Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Research information in catalogs, specifications, or reference material.
• Learn and use the document management system and suggest improvements.
• Identify potential project-related problems and propose solutions to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
