Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, maintaining a clean and mechanically safe bus, and enforcing safety rules for students.

You will perform regular bus inspections, refuel as needed, and foster a calm, caring demeanor. The position emphasizes reliability, punctuality, and a faith-aligned commitment with LifeWise beliefs.

Qualifications

• Must have a mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Faith.
• Regular driver''s license, with at least three years of continuous licensing.
• CDL with endorsement for passenger vehicle (P) for 15+ passenger vehicles, if applicable.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 must provide additional documentation annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Background check conducted by LifeWise Academy.
• Annual Physician''s Statement for known medical conditions.
• Drug/alcohol testing required pre-employment and annually.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus safety and cleanliness.
• Perform routine bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for students and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and respond to misbehavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
