Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. You will contribute to a safe, punctual transportation program and be a reliable presence on campus.

Ideal candidate has a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, a clean driving record, a valid license for at least three years, and a willingness to submit to background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Statement of Faith.
• Regular driver's license held for at least the past three years.
• CDL with Passenger endorsement for vehicles seating over 15, or no special license needed for 15-passenger van.
• Age 21–80; additional documentation for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Annual Physician's Statement for medical conditions per LifeWise requirements.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor.
• Be aware of which students need help or are misbehaving.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
