Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transport for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, a clean driving record, and a valid passenger-vehicle CDL endorsement when applicable.

The driver will ensure bus safety, perform inspections, and assist students with entering and exiting the vehicle, while upholding LifeWise safety rules. Part-time, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• A mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license and continuous licensure for the past three years.
• Ability to operate vehicles seating 15+ passengers; CDL-P endorsement when required.
• Age 21–80; documentation for drivers over 75 as applicable.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Annual Physician's Statement for known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices.
• Keep the bus clean and mechanically safe; perform regular inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed; create a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate calm, caring demeanor; monitor student behavior.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
