Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith aligned with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license held for past three years.
• CDL with endorsement for passenger vehicle (P) required for 15+ seating; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 submit additional documentation annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy and yearly physician’s statement for medical conditions.
• Drug/alcohol testing as required (pre-employment and random).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by Director.
