Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a reliable LifeWise vehicle driver in Ohio to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. This part-time, hourly role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a respectful Christian environment.

Responsibilities include obeying traffic laws, maintaining bus cleanliness and safety, performing inspections, and assisting students with boarding while upholding LifeWise safety rules and policies. A background check and medical statements may apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid driver’s license and have been licensed for at least 3 years.
• Age 21–80; some vehicle types require a CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or tickets in the last 5 years.
• Background check and yearly physician’s statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment and annually).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules and assist students as needed.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director.
