Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a LifeWise vehicle driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual and maintains a clean driving record.

You will transport students and LifeWise volunteers, obey traffic laws, and keep the bus clean and mechanically safe. You will perform regular inspections, refuel as needed, and assist students entering or exiting the vehicle; classroom volunteering may be

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.
• Regular driver’s license; continuous licensing for the past three years.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement for 15+ passenger vehicles; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 submit additional documentation as specified.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or tickets in the last five years.
• Undergo a background check and yearly Physician's Statement for known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required (pre-employment, annual, post-accidents).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws during all transportation activities.
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules; assist students entering/exiting; demonstrate calm and caring demeanor; monitor behavior.
