Job summary

City Year in the United States seeks entry-level Student success coach and mentor to help students achieve academic success and improve attendance. You will coach and mentor students 1:1 and in groups, plan progress, and work with teachers on classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with authorization to work in the U.S.
• Be 17-25 by July 1, 2025 and able to begin City Year by July/August 2025
• Have a GED or high school diploma, some college experience, or college degree

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to earn academic success and improve attendance
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support classroom instruction
• Collaborate with teachers to create engaging learning activities
• Support extended day and after-school programs and student clubs
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space in collaboration with the teacher
