Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is seeking entry-level student success coaches to mentor students across grade levels. You will help improve academics, attendance and behaviors while supporting teachers in classrooms and during after-school activities.

We provide 2–4 weeks of introductory training and ongoing professional development as you serve in schools, helping students thrive and students’ communities succeed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided at start of year.
• Ability to work with diverse students and teachers in a school setting.
• Commitment to service as City Year AmeriCorps member.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to support academic success and positive behavior.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress in literacy and math.
• Collaborate with teachers on in-class instruction and student support.
• Contribute to a safe, engaging classroom space in partnership with staff.
