Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Training is provided, and you will work with teachers to support classroom instruction and student progress.

You will participate in school-based programs, lead small groups, and contribute to a positive school climate through literacy and math support, attendance improvement, and behavior development.

Qualifications

• Entry level; training provided at start of year.
• Coaching and mentoring students across elementary to high school.
• Collaborate with teachers to support literacy and math goals.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor identified students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development.
• Help create engaging, safe classroom spaces.
• Assist with data collection and progress monitoring.
