Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members provide coaching and mentoring to students across elementary to high school levels, supporting academic success, attendance, and positive behavior. You will plan and monitor individual progress and work with teachers on in-class instruction, breakout spaces, and student assistance.

Entry-level, paid, full-time AmeriCorps position with training, benefits, and a bi-weekly living stipend. Start date by summer 2025 across locations in the United States.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 or in groups.
• Ability to plan and monitor student progress and support teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academics and behavior.
• Support teachers with in-class instruction and small-group tutoring.
• Plan literacy and math activities tailored to each student.
• Create a positive and safe classroom space in collaboration with staff.
