Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps member is an entry-level, paid, full-time role dedicated to coaching and mentoring students across elementary, middle and high school. You’ll help students achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors while partnering with teachers to support classroom learning.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring students to improve academic success and behavior.
• Ability to engage with diverse student groups and support teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Plan and monitor student progress and support classroom instruction.
• Develop behavior management and positive student engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to collect and analyze student data.
• Create a safe and engaging classroom space in collaboration with teachers and staff.
