Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as coaches and mentors to students across elementary to high school. The entry-level, full-time role focuses on academic coaching, attendance, and positive behaviors, with 2–4 weeks of initial training.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, collaborate with teachers, and help create engaging learning spaces while supporting school-wide initiatives and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in all these tasks is not necessary. We provide 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year to support you.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and/or math skills through varied learning activities.
• Create and implement a behavior management system for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to collect, record, and monitor student progress.
