Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level, paid full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students across grade levels. You will coach and mentor students to improve academic outcomes, attendance, and behavior while collaborating with teachers and City Year staff to plan targeted supports.

You will participate in training, work with AmeriCorps teammates, and help implement in-class and after-school strategies to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mentoring or tutoring is a plus.
• Ability to track progress and document outcomes.
• Strong communication with students and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academics and attendance.
• Plan and monitor student progress with teachers.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with staff involvement.
• Support extended day and after-school programs and clubs.
