Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is hiring an entry-level, paid, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor. You will coach and mentor students across grade levels, helping them improve academics, attendance, and behavior.

Training is provided for 2–4 weeks, with ongoing collaboration with teachers and school staff throughout the year. This AmeriCorps position offers a living stipend and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, and education awards.

Qualifications

• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; authorization to work in the U.S.
• Be 17–25 by July 1, 2025; eligible to start by July/August 2025
• Be able to pass a background check and serve in City Year AmeriCorps

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance
• Collaborate with teachers on instruction and student support
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and contribute to classroom activities
• Support school-wide programs and events to engage students and families
