Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to achieve academic success, attendance, and positive behavior. You’ll partner with teachers to support instruction and classroom activities across elementary to high school levels.

This entry-level, paid, full-time role provides initial training and ongoing support, with benefits and a living stipend as part of the City Year program in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and mentoring students is preferred.
• Ability to develop literacy and math skills through varied activities.
• Comfort collaborating with teachers and staff to support students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and growth.
• Support teachers with in-class instruction and student assistance.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives and student engagement programs.
