Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps member in Owasso, OK will coach and mentor students in elementary to high school, focusing on academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors. You will plan individualized progress and collaborate with teachers on classroom support and student services.

Training is provided at the start of the year, with ongoing coaching and opportunity to develop alongside a dedicated City Year team in schools across the district.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided at start of year.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to achieve academic success and improve attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support in-class instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support classroom activities and student needs.
• Help develop literacy and math skills through varied activities and questions.
• Assist with behavior management and student engagement strategies.
