Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor. AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance, working with teachers and staff to support whole-class instruction and targeted student needs.

The role includes training at the start of the year, collaboration with partner teachers, and ongoing opportunities to support literacy, math, and behavior development across school settings.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and/or math skills with varied activities by student level.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress using City Year’s student data system.
• Create an engaging, safe, and healthy classroom space in collaboration with the teacher.
• Support and participate in extended day and after-school programs.
