Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as a full-time AmeriCorps member. The role focuses on coaching and mentoring students across elementary, middle, and high school, with planning, monitoring progress, and collaboration with teachers.

As City Year AmeriCorps, you will participate in training and support school-wide programs while delivering services that promote academic success, improved attendance, and positive behaviors.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; 2–4 weeks of initial training provided.
• Focus on coaching and mentoring for students with teachers.
• Ability to plan and monitor progress and support classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help students improve academic performance and attendance.
• Collaborate with teachers to support instruction and student progress.
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces with teacher.
• Support after-school and extended programs.
