Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps in Missouri is seeking an entry-level student success coach and mentor. You will coach and mentor elementary through high school students to boost academic success and attendance, working with teachers on in-class support and student progress tracking.

Training is provided at the start of the year, and you will participate in city-wide initiatives, service projects and youth development activities while receiving AmeriCorps benefits and a living stipend.

Qualifications

• Entry-level AmeriCorps position with training provided.
• Experience not required for initial coaching and mentoring tasks.
• Ability to work with teachers and school staff to support students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual progress and support class instruction.
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers.
• Support extended-day and after-school programs and clubs.
