Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level, paid full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor in Missouri. As an AmeriCorps member, you will coach and mentor students to boost academic achievement, attendance, and positive behavior, in collaboration with teachers and school staff.

You'll receive training at the start of the year and ongoing support while helping students 1:1 and in small groups, contributing to a safe, engaging learning environment across classrooms and after-school programs.

Qualifications

• Be able to coach and mentor students to academic success.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support teachers.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math skills through varied activities.
• Create a positive classroom space and behavior supports.
