Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor to support K-12 students with academic achievement, attendance, and behavior in classrooms and various learning spaces. Training is provided, and you will work closely with teachers and school staff to implement individualized and group activities.

You will contribute to school-wide initiatives, participate in enrichment programming, and engage families through collaboration with City Year teams across elementary to high school

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided
• Ability to motivate and support K-12 students in academics and behavior

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve attendance and academic performance
• Support teachers with small-group instruction and classroom activities
• Plan and monitor student progress and maintain records in City Year systems
• Create safe, engaging classroom environments in collaboration with teachers
• Lead or support after-school and enrichment activities to boost student involvement
