Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps member will coach and mentor students across elementary to high school, helping improve academic success, attendance, and behaviors. You will plan and monitor individualized progress and support teachers with in-class activities.

Two to four weeks of initial training are provided; you will work with partner teachers and school staff every step of the way, with a July/August 2025 start date dependent on location.

Qualifications

• Entry-level AmeriCorps role with 2–4 weeks of training at start of year.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring desirable but not required.
• Be able to work with teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor elementary to high school students to improve academics and attendance.
• Plan and monitor student progress and support classroom instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to collect and analyze student data in City Year's system.
• Create a safe, engaging classroom space with teachers.
