Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in elementary, middle, and high schools. This entry-level, full-time position includes extensive training at the start of the year and ongoing support from teachers and school staff to help students achieve academic success and positive school behaviors.

You will participate in literacy and math skill development, behavior management, and collaboration with teachers and teams to monitor progress and improve student

• Experience in coaching and mentoring students is not required; training provided.

• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support teachers with in-class instruction.
• Create engaging, safe, and supportive classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers.
