Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level, paid, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor. AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to boost academic success, attendance, and positive school behaviors.

Training is provided; you’ll work with teachers and staff to support individualized student progress and in-class activities across grade levels. You’ll contribute to whole-school initiatives, lead small-group sessions, and participate in extended day or virtual programming as part of a

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• Ability to engage students from elementary to high school.
• Strong collaboration with teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students to achieve academic success.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress; support teachers with instruction.
• Support literacy and/or math activities; adapt activities by student level.
• Create engaging, safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers.
• Assist with after-school and enrichment activities and service learning.
